Door-to-Door
- December 20th, 2009
Volunteer workers in the Philippines engage in door-to-door evangelism. These individuals are paired up in 2- or 3-person teams, which are given specific geographic areas to cover. The teams visit homes in various economic environments, including many ostracized slums. The teams are sometimes turned away, but when they are welcomed, they talk with the residents about Jesus Christ and offer them reading material (including the comic book created by Gospel Xpress, which explains the story of Christ and the path to salvation). The teams encourage residents—through follow-up visits—to attend a local church and get involved with local group Bible studies.
In the last quarter, the Gospel Xpress evangelists visited 490 homes and shared the Gospel with 651 individuals—145 of whom made a profession of faith. Three hundred thirty two of them are scheduled for follow-up work and Bible studies. The Gospel Xpress comic book is continually reprinted as the coverage area of the ministry increases.
If you would like to donate specifically to the door-to-door evangelism outreach, please indicate so on your check. Every penny of your donation will go towards sending volunteers out to share the Gospel door-to-door in local communities.
