Gospel Xpress training

More from the Salvation Army heeded the call of Matt 28:19.

SAWSO provided another three day training on door to door evangelism. It was held at the Good Shepherd Spiritual Center in Antipolo City, Philippines, last November 8-10, 2004.

Sis. Joanne Soberano, a professor in Asian Theological Seminary, led the first part of the seminar which dealt with “Christians as witnesses” which was very enlightening, inspirational and challenging. Once again, we were reminded of the different roles of an evangelist — a preacher, a witness, an ambassador, a community transforming agent and a team player rolled into one. Indeed, as Christians, we should do our part in sharing the gospel to all.

The following day, Bro. Ed Tolosa expounded on “What new believers should know and do”. The lessons centered on the basic needs of a new believer in Christ. For they are like newborn babies crying out for milk and we need to be nursing mothers to them.

Certificate of completion

Bro. Tony presented the certificate of completion to Sis. Baby Cartagena.

The third day was fun-filled, since we had more time to socialize with each other.

Bro.Tony delivered a very strong message that challenged everyone present to do their share of the work delegated to us by our Lord.

It felt good to be part ot this seminar. It felt good to be among the laborers who will reap the plentiful harvest.

“Go ye there-fore and make disciples of all nations, bap-tizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

”The harvest truly is plentiful but the laborers are few.” – Matthew 9:37
